The Marsican territory is rich in parks and nature reserves.
To the south is the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise, to the southwest the Zompo lo Schioppo guided nature reserve, to the east the Sirente Velino regional natural park, to the northeast the Monte Velino nature reserve, to the west the Monte Velino guided nature reserve Salviano, and then the Pietrasecca Caves nature reserves in Carsoli and that of Luppa in the Municipality of Sante Marie.
